While developing the IHG Bali Campaign, I integrated artificial intelligence as a true creative partner throughout the process. I utilized it not just as a tool for efficiency but as a collaborator that enhanced ideation, storytelling, and strategic planning.

AI really began to function as an extension of the creative process at the brainstorming stage. I was able to explore several thematic avenues before settling on "Bali Beyond Green," an idea that unites luxury, culture, and the natural world. Brainstorming is where the process begins. I did some research on essential aspects of creating a campaign then got to work. I developed my own custom GPT within ChatGPT to provide a more specialized and effective process, enabling me to mold the AI's replies, specifically for the IHG Bali Campaign. I provided it with important information, such as audience research, influencer strategies, marketing briefs, and design guidelines, so the machine could learn directly from my materials and produce answers that matched my strategic direction. IHG's brand positioning, the goals of the campaign, and the key features of luxury travel marketing were all understood by the GPT once I integrated my knowledge.

Next, to bring the IHG Bali Campaign to life visually, I used MidJourney to generate a mood board and color scheme that captured the essence of luxury, culture, and nature. I was able to produce detailed AI-generated graphics that established the campaign's visual tone by providing thorough prompts that were inspired by the different topics I wanted to portray. These images helped define my ideal color palette, which blended earthy tones with soft gold and ocean blues, reflecting both Bali’s natural beauty and IHG’s premium aesthetic. This machine assisted approach not only sped up the creative process but also ensured that the visuals remained cohesive and aligned with the brand’s positioning.

I then went on to use Sora as a way of generating high-quality AI-driven video concepts that matched the campaign’s luxury aesthetic. Instead of relying solely on stock footage or traditional production methods, I crafted detailed prompts that allowed Sora to visualize key moments of the campaign, such as “a tranquil aerial view of Bali’s rice terraces at sunrise,” and “a chef preparing a vibrant Balinese-inspired dish with fresh local ingredients.” By efficiently leveraging AI-generated cinematic sequences, I was able to quickly prototype a campaign video that captured the mood, color palette, and storytelling arc needed to convey the Bali Unlocked experience.

My final step through my AI journey was Eleven Labs. To enhance the storytelling in my IHG Bali Campaign video, I used Eleven Labs to generate a professional-quality voiceover that brought my script to life. After crafting a script that captured the Bali Unlocked theme, I turned to Eleven Labs to produce a natural, engaging narration with the perfect tone and pacing. I was able to efficiently prototype and refine the voiceover using this method without having to pay for a recording studio or a voice actor. The finished product is polished and captivating since the AI-generated storytelling blends seamlessly with the Sora-generated visuals.

What stood out to me most throughout this process was how AI helped to close the gap between creativity and data.

It made it possible for me to strike a balance between maintaining a personal connection and using strategic insights to shape a narrative. I was able to dedicate more of my time to higher-level creative work and building a cohesive narrative by streamlining time-consuming tasks. When reviewing the entire process, it is clear how AI is beginning to transform creative and professional environments.

I believe AI will evolve from being only a tool to a genuine creative companion as it develops further. This balance, where human imagination drives the process while AI supports it, is where the future of creativity rests. Through this campaign I observed how artificial intelligence can enhance the creative process, not by taking the place of human contribution, but by encouraging it.
